Project Details:
SGD Security Ltd has been successful in securing the installation of the site wide CCTV system at a new Solar Energy installation in Cornwall.
The site spanning over 200000 square meters is currently being fitted with numerous Bosch VG4 IP Autodome cameras mounted to 6 meter wind down WEC CCTV columns. Due to the size of the site the IP video streams from each camera are converted to use multimode fibre optics for transmission of the video to the main communications room. Proficient Systems, the specialist IT and communications division of the SGD Group were tasked with termination and testing of the fibre optic cables.

Using the latest Bosch Aegis LED illuminators, with ‘Black Diamond’ technology, through a variety of projection angles and viewing distances the site perimeter will be fully illuminated giving excellent picture clarity in complete darkness.
At the control room the system is utilising fibre optic to IP converters to connect the video streams through a custom Hewlett Packard (HP) server through a HP network switch.
Using Bosch intelligent Video Analytics (IVA 4.0) through the Autodome preset camera positions the site will be monitored for movement. The system is then monitored offsite from a control room in Liverpool using the ‘Bosch Recording Station (BRS)’ Software.
